Focusing on ourselves
Last week saw us head into our second week of lock-down, and we must admit we are starting to lose track of what day of the week we are on! This is a short blog post, as a lot of last week was spent focusing on ourselves. We are working on making a few changes to Grizzlyware, and we don’t want to reveal too much too soon!
The start of the week was spent adding the finishing touches to the staff booking system we built in March. We tested the system, and wrote detailed documentation. This will make it easier for new staff to learn to use it in the future. We fixed any bugs we found and presented the system to our client. The client gave us their feedback, and we then made the necessary tweaks based on this. We also imported all their existing data, so that the system was up and ready to use straight away. Finishing a product doesn’t end when the code is written. It’s important for us that our client can get started with the product instantly, and it works exactly as they envisaged.
For the rest of the week, we made use of the extra time we had to give some much needed attention to our business plan. As a smaller business, it’s easy to get wrapped up in client projects and push business planning to the back of the jobs pile.
We’ve been looking at new products and services which we can offer alongside software and websites. We have made good progress with a couple of options, which will nicely complement our existing services. This will allow us to provide an even better service to our clients, allowing them to solve more of their problems from the same place. Hopefully these will be up and running in the next week or two, so watch this space!
In order to add these new products to our website, we need to make a few changes to the site. So who knows, maybe a new look is in order too?
